| 619. Otto Stark (American, 1859-1926), "Children", c.1890; watercolor and gouache/ paper, 4" x 5", signed and dated, well framed. Highly important member of the Hoosier Group painters. Stark studied in Paris with Boulanger and Lefebvre. He was the founder of the Hoosier Salon, and exhibited there as well. His work is in numerous public and private collections, including the Herron Art Institute, Cincinnati Art Museum, Indianapolis Art Museum, and the University of Kansas. 1500-2000 |
