| 544. Guy Wiggins (American, 1833-1962), "View of Central Park", c.1925; oil/board, 7" x 10", signed. Wiggins studied painting at the National Academy of Design, and developed a reputation for his impressionist views of New York City, done mainly in the 1920s. He was a member of the Lotos Club, Lyme Art Association, Salmagundi Club, and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. In 1937, he moved to Connecticut and opened his own art school. 6000-8000 |
