542. Anthony Thieme (American, 1888-1954), "La Tulleries, Paris", c.1935; watercolor/paper, 11" x 16", signed and titled. Thieme was born in Holland and came to the U.S. in the 1920s. He specialized in town scenes, harbor scenes, and was a member of the Boston Art Club, North Shore Art Association, and the Rockport Art Association. He exhibited extensively in the 1920s and 30s, and won numerous awards. He established his own school in Rockport, MA. 2000-3000
