| 532. J. Young Hunter (American, 1874-1955) "Portrait of a Lady",
oil/board, 32.5" x 21", signed. Studied at the Royal Academy;
the University of London with John Singer Sargent. He was a
member of the Salmagundi Club. Exhibited at the Royal Academy of
Art, London, 1900-1913; and at the Paris Salon 1910, 1914. His work
is included in the collections of the National Gallery, London;
Harvard University; Musee de Luxembourg, Paris; etc. He was a painter
of Indians and landscapes in the West, society portraits in NYC.
