| 530. Lester David Boronda
(American, 1886-1953), "Quiet Cove", c.1915; oil/board, 16" x 20", signed, titled, label verso,
excellent new carved frame. Boronda studied at Mark Hopkins Institute
with Arthur Matthews, and at the Art Students League with DuMond.
He worked in the early 1910s in California, exhibiting at the Del
Monte Art Gallery in Monterey (1910). In 1913, he moved to New
York, and painted there and in Mystic, CT. He was a member of
the Mystic Art Association, and exhibited at the National Academy
of Design, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Minneapolis Institute
