1874-1955) "At the Piano", c.1903; oil/canvas, 22.5" x 20", signed
and dated. Studied at the Royal Academy; the University of
London with John Singer Sargent. He was a member of the Salmagundi
Club. Exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art, London, 1900-1913; and at
the Paris Salon 1910, 1914. His work is included in the collections of
the National Gallery, London; Harvard University; Musee de
Luxembourg, Paris; etc. He was a painter of Indian and landscapes in the West,
