Fiscus studied with Maynard Dixon and Walter Ufer, and in Indiana with William Forsyth. He exhibited in at the San Francisco Art League and the Hoosier Salon. 478. Arthur Beckwith (American, 1860-1930), "Eucalyptus Grove", c.1915; oil/canvas, 30" x 20", signed, original frame. Beckwith worked in San Francisco from the 1880s, and many of his works were destroyed in the 1906 fire. He later worked in Greenbrae, CA, but continued to maintain a studio in San Francisco. He was a member of the Bohemian Club, San Francisco Art Association, and the Sequoia Club. 2500-3500 |
