461. Franz Arthur Bischoff (American, 1864-1929), "California Landscape", c.1910; oil/board, 13" x 19", signed.
Bischoff first came to California in 1900, and six years later established a studio in Los Angeles. He was
already well known for his ability as a china painter, but in California, his attention turned to colorful landscape
paintings. His works are included in the collections of the Laguna Beach Museum, Terra Museum, and the
