590. Tanasko Milovich (American, b.1900), "Awakening", c.1959; batik, 24.5" x 32", signed and dated, framed and under glass. Studied in Paris. Milovich was also a painter, but his specialty was batiks. He exhibited at the Paris Salon (1928), Salon d'Autumne, Kansas City Art Institute, and the St. Louis Artist Guild. An exceptional example of this art form and a powerful modern image. 1500-2000
