252. Richard Rosenbaum (Austrian, b.1864), "Coaching Scene", c.1890; watercolor/paper, 20" x 14", signed. Rosenbaum was very well known for his watercolors and oils of horses and coaching scenes. 2000-4000

253. Morston Constantine Ream (American, 1840-1898), "Still Life with Desserts", c.1880; oil/canvas, 30" x 25", signed, fine frame. Ream was born in Lancaster, Ohio, and began learning daguerreotyping when he was twenty. He eventually moved to New York in 1868 to study painting. His older brother, Cadurcis Plantagenet Ream, also an important still life painter, urged him to do so. Morston had various studios on Union Square, and exhibited still lifes at Moore's Art Rooms in the 1870s-80s. He specialized in still life painting, and exhibited at the National Academy, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, and the Brooklyn Art Association. This is a large, important example of his work. 4000-6000
