700. Margorie H. Thomas (American, b.1885), "Early Breakfast in the Desert", c.1915; oil/board, 7" x 10", signed; with another oil/board, "Desert Scene", 6" x 4", also signed (not shown). Scottsdale, Arizona painter. Thomas studied in the east with Tarbell and Benson. She was a member of the Phoenix Fine Artists and the Arizona Artist Guild. She also exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in the 1920s. Her specialty was scenes of the desert and cowboy life. 1000-1500

701. Paul T. Sargent (American, 1880-1946), "Spring Landscape", c.1927; oil/canvas, 25" x 30", signed and dated, excellent carved frame. Sargent worked in Los Angeles and in Illinois. He specialized in impressionist style landscape paintings and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Los Angeles Central Library, Charleston Art Association, and the Hoosier Salon. 3000-4000
