757. Frank Perri (American, early 20th century), "Beach Scene, Chicago", c.1938; oil/canvas, 24" x 30", signed on verso, from the estate of the artist. Perri immigrated from Italy to Chicago around 1930. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and was the president of the Oak Park Art League. He traveled to Mexico in the late 1930s. His specialty was figurative works, painted in an expressive manner, similar to the works of Bellows or Luks. Outstanding Chicago subject matter. 3000-5000
