Adamek painted in St Louis, and in the orchard country along the river, north of the city. He worked during the 1910s-20s, and executed several murals of this subject. 500-700

462. Gulbrandt Sether (Norwegian/American, early 20th century), "Snowy Landscape", c.1910; oil/canvas, 27" x 39", signed. Sether, like Svend Svendsen, specialized in winter landscapes, especially nocturnes with the lights shining across the snow through an open door or window. This is a major example of this artist's work. 2000-3000
