| 448. James McCracken (American, early 20th century), "Sand Dunes", c. 1930; oil/board, 28" x 36" , signed. Chicago/Iowa painter. McCracken was part of the Stone City Artists Group, which also included the artist Grant Wood. He painted regionalist landscapes and decorative images of exotic birds, very similar in style to California painter, Jessie Arms Botke. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. 2000-3000 |

| 449. Alice Beach Winter (American, b. 1877), "A Day Sailing", c.1920; oil/canvas, 29" x 36", signed. Winter worked in Gloucester, MA and in California. She painted children and harbor scenes, and illustrated children's books. She studied with Twachtman and DeCamp and exhibited at the National Academy and the Los Angeles Museum. 1000-2000 |

| 450. Tom Barnett (American, 1870-1929), "Venice", c. 1910; oil/canvas laid down on board (original), 14" x 16", signed. Barnett was a painter and an architect. He and his father designed numerous important buildings in St Louis. He studied painting with Paul Cornoyer. Barnett exhibited landscapes and harbor scenes at the National Academy of Design, St Louis Artist Guild, St Louis World's Fair (1904), Portland Expo (1915), and the St Louis Artist. His style was bold and impressionistic. 1500-2500 |
