Studied at the Slade School of Art in 1931, then worked briefly in Paris. He exhibited from the late 1930s-60s, at the Hanover Gallery (London), Tate Gallery, Art Institute of Chicago, British Council Exhibition, Carnegie Institute, Smithsonian Institution and the Rodin Museum (Paris). Public acquisitions include: Museum of Modern Art, National Gallery of South Australia, Art Institute of Chicago, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Tate Gallery. 6000-8000
