442. Warren Rollins (American, 1861-1962), "The Water Carrier", c.1910; oil/canvas, 14.5" x 10", signed, original oak frame. Important, early member of the Santa Fe artist colony (1913). Rollins studied at the California School of Design and exhibited at the Museum of New Mexico. His work is in the collections of the Santa Fe Railroad, Museum of New Mexico, and he executed WPA murals. 2000-3000 |

He executed several works of classic American subject matter in his well known impressionist style. He was the son of painter Daniel Ridgeway Knight. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and the Paris Expo. 2500-3500 |
