Important African-American painter. Scott was a close friend and student of H.O. Tanner. He worked primarily in Chicago. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Los Angeles Museum, Harmon Foundation, American Negro Exposition (Chicago), Smithsonian Museum and Howard University.
