He spent a good deal of time in Gloucester, and also worked in Woodstock, NY and St. Louis. He exhibited at the St. Louis Artist Guild and the Art Students League. 1500-2000 |

512. Jane Peterson (American, 1876-1965), "Palm Beach Huts", c.1918; oil/canvas, 17" x 19", signed. Important post-impressionist painter. Her distinct style and palette was immediately well received, and she had her first one woman show in Boston in 1909. She also exhibited at the National Academy of Design. Peterson traveled all over the world painting, and her subject matter is highly varied, but her concern with light and color is evident in all of her paintings. 3000-5000 |
