668. Alexander J. Rummler (American, 1867-1959), "Indian Summer", c.1924; oil/canvas, 30" x 40", signed, original carved frame. Connecticut impressionist landscape painter. Rummler studied in Paris before settling in Glenbrook, CT. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club and the Silvermine Guild of Artists. He exhibited at the Worlds Fair new York (1939), and executed 16 WPA murals. 1000-2000
