Rare Gustav Stickley bookcase, #544, two doors with mitered mullions and 16 panes each, this early wide form with a V-board back was made from 1901-1903, the faceted hardware was used on only the 1901 examples, the fine dark original finish and massive scale of this piece result in this example being the most important of Stickley's early bookcase designs, 62"w x 12"d x 56"h, excellent condition 40,000-60,000
