663. Jo Peterson (American, early 20th century), "Stretch of Beach", c.1945; oil/board, 17.5" x 23.5", signed. Peterson studied with two Oak Park painters, Jess Hobby and Ellsworth Young. She exhibited in the annual Salons under the auspices of the All-Illinois Society of Fine Arts. She worked at the Austin High School's Evening School as registrar, and held an exhibit of her work there. She also exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. 2500-3500
