| 75. Tom Barnett (American, 1870-1929), "Venice", c.
1910; oil/canvas laid down on board (original), 14" x
16", signed. Barnett was a painter and an architect. He
and his father designed numerous important buildings in
St. Louis. He studied painting with Paul Cornoyer.
Barnett exhibited landscapes and harbor scenes at the
National Academy of Design, St. Louis Artist Guild, St.
Louis World's Fair (1904), Portland Expo (1915), and the
St. Louis Artist. His style was bold and impressionistic.
