48. Paul Lauritz (American, 1889-1975), "Winter Landscape with Barn", c.1940; oil/board, 24" x 36", signed. Lauritz traveled to Alaska in the early 1910s, and befriended Sydney Laurence. The two painted together, and held a joint exhibition before Lauritz left for California in 1919. He settled in Los Angeles and was a charter member of the Laguna Beach Art Association, as well as the California Art Club, Painters and Sculptors of LA, and the Society of Western Artists. 2500-3500
