| 4. Richard Kruger (American, b.1880), "Santa
Rosa Mountains", c.1915; oil/canvas, 25" x 30", signed,
well framed. California painter. Kruger arrived in Los
Angeles in 1907, and established a studio in the Majestic Building.
He left for San Francisco in 1918, and while there,
he painted and designed furniture and metalwork. He
remained in San Francisco until the mid-twenties, then after
spending a few years in Europe, returned to Los Angeles.
He exhibited in Chicago in 1909 with the Southern
