Important Colorado painter. Adams moved to Denver
in 1876 for health reasons. His work was already
in demand by the time he was 25, so he opened a summer studio in Estes Park, which he
called, "The Sketch Box", and this remained
his headquarters for the next 40 years. His most significant subject matter was the Rockies,
the Tetons, and Yellowstone Park. He was a member of the Denver Artists Club and the Laguna
Art Association. His work is included in the collections of the Colorado State
University, Denver Art Association, Denver Art
Museum, Kansas City Art Association, and the San
Diego Women's Club. 1500-2500 |
